HIL (India) Limited

HIL (India) Limited formerly known as Hindustan Insecticides Limited (HIL), a Govt. of India Enterprise, under the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, was incorporated in March, 1954 with the objective of supplying DDT for National Malaria Eradication Programme launched by the Government of India. Subsequently, the company diversified into agro chemicals to meet the requirements of agriculture sector. Presently the company is also operating in all the agro inputs namely agro-chemicals, seeds and recently it ventured into fertilizers so that all the requirement of farming community can be met under one roof.

HIL has widened its product profile of technical products from 5 to 15 as on date.. HIL also commissioned a manufacturing facility for LLIN with an annual capacity of 5 million nets which is currently being promoted by WHO as alternate vector control tool. HIL is also in the process of setting up of manufacturing facilities for Neem based botanical products and also Bti based bio-larvicides for vector borne disease control.
