Indoor Residual Spraying with adulticide is one of the effective vector control tools. In India,
it is extensively used for the control of malaria. Indoor resting (endophilic)
mosquitoes effortlessly pick up the lethal dosage of insecticide through their tarsal contact
and such lethal contact reduces the longevity of the infected vectors resulting in the
interruption of disease transmission.
At present, Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) has developed the technology and for neem Suspension Concentrate (SC),
which may be used for indoor spray to repel mosquitoes This technology was transferred to
HIL for scaling up and for commercial production.
